26 Apr – After much speculations about the fate of his character ever since he was lifted up in a helicopter in his last season of "The Walking Dead", Andrew Lincoln revealed that the plan for a Rick Grimes movie may soon come to fruition. Lincoln, who departed from the show on the last episode of the ninth season, revealed that filming should be starting soon, and enthused, "We're very excited about how, at the first available opportunity, we're going to go into production – there's talk of it being spring. I can't wait to get those cowboy boots.
He also revealed that he has signed on for more than one film, and that there could be two other films afterwards. However, it will all depend on the success of the first one, which has already been delayed due to the pandemic. As to whether he will return to the series' final season, Lincoln only responded, "Never say never." On the other hand, rumours are rife that Dana Gurira may also be involved in the said movie, seeing that her character Michonne has also left the series to go find Rick in the previous season. It is noted that there are other "The Walking Dead" spin-offs currently in the works for AMC, including one focusing on fan favourites Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier.
