1. How do I register as a Cinema Online member?
Answer:
Click on the "Login" button on the top right of the page (www.cinema.com.my) and then click on the "Register" link to register as a member. Membership is free.

2. How do I edit/update my member profile?
Answer:
Log into your existing account at Cinema Online’s main page (www.cinema.com.my) using your ID & password, and then click on the "Update profile" link to edit or update your profile.

3. How do I cancel my registration from Cinema Online?
Answer:
For security reasons, we are not able to change the status of your membership or delete members on request. If you would like to edit your profile on your membership records, you can log in and make the necessary changes.

4. Where can I use my complimentary / open passes?
Answer:
Refer to the passes and look for a name of a cinema chain, cinema location or a specific movie:
  • If any cinema is stated, then it can be used in the stated in the cinema chain or location respectively, for any movie.
  • If any movie title is mentioned and no cinema name is mentioned then it can be used at any cinema as long as the stated movie is still showing, and is valid for the stated movie only.
  • If the movie pass is a film distributor’s pass without cinema name or movie name, then it can be used for all movie distributed by the stated film distributor (eg. 20th Century Fox, Nusantara Edaran Filem, Walt Disney Pictures etc) in any cinema.
5. Why is the selection of movies in cinemas sometimes limited?
Answer:
Due to the limited number of screens in many cinemas and the volume of movies each week, the final choice of which movies play in which cinemas is often determined by choice of titles that will serve a larger majority, i.e. movies that will fill the hall faster/fuller. In doing so, many other worthy movies do often get left out.

6. Does Cinema Online have a privacy policy and enough security measures for member to register without worrying that member's profile will be stolen?
Answer:
Member's profile and personal records on www.cinema.com.my are kept with confidentiality and is only used with authorization from members. Membership is required for the following:
  • Posting on the Cinema Online forum, where only your member ID will be displayed and not your name nor other personal particulars
  • Entering contests, where winners will be selected based on answers and not on personal particulars
  • Winning contests, where winners lists will be published using full name and not IC numbers
  • Redeeming of prizes, where IC has to be shown for identity verification for collection validity
In all the above uses, your IC number is not given out to any external party. Cinema Online is responsible for the privacy of records of all Cinema Online members. Cinema Online has maintained a safe and professional environment for its members for all its 10 years, and will continue to maintain it.

7. How do I check the upcoming movies?
Answer:
You can find the release dates of all movies releasing in Malaysia on www.cinema.com.my. Just click on the "Now Showing” or “Coming Soon” links on the top menu bar to find the release dates of the upcoming movies.

8. I would like to check the ticket pricing at a particular cinema and the special offers too, where can I get the information?
Answer:
Ticket pricing for various categories can be found for most cinemas by following the directions below:
  • Visit www.cinema.com.my
  • Click on the "Select cinemas" link in the Showtimes box
  • Click on the cinema of your choice (eg. GSC / MBO / Lotus Five Star)
  • Click on the “Cinema Info” link to get the relevant information
9. My ID is XXX. I have found someone posting messages under my ID. Is it possible to change?
Answer:
It is possible that some characters are different although they appear similar. Eg: Capital “O” and number zero, Capital “i” and small “L” and number “1”, etc.

10. Where Is Cinema Online office? How do I get there?

11. What are the days and time I can redeem my prizes from Cinema Online office?
Answer:
Mondays to Fridays, morning [10.00am to 12.30pm] & afternoon [1.30pm to 5.00pm].

12. How I do request prizes to be sent to me and how much is the charges?
Answer:
Prizes consisting of movie passes can be sent by Pos Malaysia. All you have to do is reply with the following details to marketing@cinemaonline.asia
  • Handphone number
  • IC Number
  • Full name
  • Postal address
If the prize is a physical item that cannot be posted by regular envelope, we will use Pos Laju and pack the prizes accordingly. The cost of postage will be borne by the prize winner and there will be an additional RM10 fee for packaging and delivery arrangements.
Please note that Cinema Online will not be responsible for delays, damage or loss during transit.

13. How do I know if the prizes have redemption deadline and do I get replacement?
Answer:
Please be advised that complimentary passes are only valid until certain period of time. Please arrange to collect the said tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. No replacement of tickets will be entertained.

14. Can someone redeem my prizes on my behalf?
Answer:
Yes, the winner may authorize someone to redeem the prizes on their behalf but provided that the person must bring along a photocopy of the winner's IC during redemption at our office.

15. How will the seating be allocated?
Answer:
The seating is allocated on a first come first served basis on the day of the screening, and seating is numbered.
