"Entourage" heads to big screen

The cast of "Entourage" are ready to hit the big screen.

31 Jan – A few years after they have announced that they are ready for the hit television series to be made into a film; Warner Bros. has officially given the green light for the continuation of the HBO series "Entourage".

There had been talks in 2011 for the show to be on the big screen, and even Mark Walhberg, who produces the show, had announced that he will finance the film himself.

Now that it is finally happening, the show's creator, Doug Ellin, will be directing and writing for the film, and the cast including Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly and Kevin Dillon will be expected to join.

When asked about the film a year ago, Mark Wahlberg stated, "I think a 90-minute movie of sheer craziness -- the guys getting back to just being about the guys, you know? Go crazy. Give people what they want."

The series ran from 2004-2011 for eight seasons, with the film planned to take place after six months after the television finale.

So far, there is no set date for the start of production, and the deals have yet to be signed.
