Dane DeHaan is Harry Osborn

How will Dane DeHaan fare as Harry Osborn will only be revealed in 2014.

4 Dec – Director Marc Webb has confirmed in a morning tweet that Dane DeHaan is officially on board as Harry Osborn, Peter Parker's best friend and son to Norman Osborn aka The Green Goblin, in the sequel to "Spider-Man".

Webb, apparently is quite happy with the choice, tweeting "Meet Harry Osborn. So excited to have him on board. @dandehaan."

He heaped on extra praise on the actor in a release later, calling him "an exciting and extraordinary young actor and a fantastic addition to our cast".

Dane DeHaan will be joining Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in the "Spider-Man" sequel.

DeHaan beat out other well-known contenders for the role, among which include Sam Claflin, who was last seen as William in "Snow White and the Huntsman" and Eddie Redmayne from "My Week with Marilyn".

A virtual unknown in this region, DeHaan will next be seen in "Lincoln" as a Union soldier, who apparently will appear in a brief but memorable opening.

DeHaan will join Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx and Shailene Woodley in the next installment. It is set for release in 3D on May 2, 2014. Production will begin in early 2013.
