"The Perfect Wedding" poster a copycat?

12 Oct – Romantic comedy "The Perfect Wedding", starring Raymond Lam and Miriam Yeung have raised some controversy regarding its poster for the movie. The poster, with Miriam Yeung and Raymond Lam in an awkward pose, resembles Hollywood movie "Yours, Mine and Ours" poster!

Regarding the poster plagiarism issue, Raymond Lam commented: "The positions of partners in photos are all pretty much the same, it is more important to have beautiful results. Actually it's definite that there will be a clash and I personally don't mind. No matter what movie role it is, different people, different crew, the results will definitely be different."

Having caught in the whole 'Andy Lau Las Vegas marriage certificate' incident, where her marriage certificate with husband Real Ting was also discovered by the paparazzi, newlywed Miriam Yeung nowadays tend to be careful on her intimate scenes during filming. When asked about the poster shoot for the movie "The Perfect Wedding", Miriam Yeung didn't dare to confess to her husband about the photoshoot with co-star Raymond Lam! "I have to use my two legs to cramp onto Raymond. He was very embarrassed, but I am the older sister, so I'm a bit more relaxed. Honestly, I did not dare to let my husband see it; I hid it for several months. When he asked me I would just say it's digitally edited!" recalled Miriam.

"The Perfect Wedding" tells the story of Lok Yan (Miriam Yeung), a ruthless yet successful celebrity wedding planner. One night in a bar, she meets a young attorney, Fung (Raymond Lam) and they end up having a one night stand! Fate brings them back together at a wedding and their one night stand becomes a debt dispute since Fung's boss owes Yan's company fees for 30 weddings. When Fung's boss runs away, Fung is left to clear the debt and so he starts working for Yan. While working together to organise successful weddings, they face and overcome many challenges and soon their relationship begins to blossom.

"The Perfect Wedding" opens on 21 October 2010 in Singapore and Malaysia.
