5 Dec – James Gunn recently revealed that he is close to finishing the script for his upcoming project, "Superman Legacy". The director, who is also the co-head of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran, shared new information about the project in a post on Threads, saying that the script is now 99.9 percent done.
"I'm always changing small things but it's been essentially done since well before the strike," he said. It is noted that several actors have already been cast in the movie, including actor David Corenswet playing the titular superhero, and Nicholas Hoult to play Lex Luthor.
"Thanks to the efforts of our talented crew, who never lost faith during the longest strikes in Hollywood history, and who never let their foot off the pedal, continuing to barrel forward, creating the most amazing character and set designs I've seen in my entire career, #SupermanLegacy will be making the originally planned release date of July 11, 2025," Gunn added. On the other hand, Gunn denied that they have started casting for the upcoming Batman movie, "The Brave and the Bold", saying that they don't even have a script yet.
