13 Sep – "The Maze Runner" star Dylan O'Brien seems to be recovering well from his previous accident on the set of the aforementioned movie, judging by the recently-released teaser image for his new movie, "American Assassin". The action movie's official Twitter account has released a first look image of O'Brien as lead character, counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp.
In the movie, which is based on the 15-book series by Vince Flynn, O'Brien stars as CIA black ops recruit Rapp, alongside Michael Keaton as Cold War veteran Stan Hurley. The duo works together to investigate the attacks on military and civilian targets, and soon find themselves joining forces with a lethal Turkish agent in order to stop world war from erupting in the Middle East. "American Assassin" is currently filming in Europe and has yet to receive a release date. Meanwhile, O'Brien will only be seen reprising his "Maze Runner" persona, Thomas, in 2018. The third movie in the franchise, "Maze Runner: The Death Cure", has to be postponed following the accident that occurred on set, which involved a moving vehicle hitting the lead actor and causing serious injuries. Before that, catch the 25-year-old starring as Caleb Holloway in "Deepwater Horizon", opening this 29 September in Malaysia and Singapore, and 6 October in Cambodia.
