24 Feb – "Fifty Shades of Grey" stays on top in the U.S. weekend box office chart for 19 to 22 February, while in Malaysia "From Vegas to Macau 2" wins the number one spot and "Ah Boys to Men 3: Frogmen" takes first in Singapore. There is no change in the top three spots on the U.S. chart last weekend as "Fifty Shades of Grey" still has itself tied to the top spot with a weekend gross of USD22.2 million. "Kingsman: The Secret Service" stays put at second place, collecting USD18.3 million over the weekend, and "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water" still places third, soaking up a weekend collection of USD16.5 million.
Meanwhile in Malaysia, Chow Yun Fat-starrer "From Vegas to Macau 2", the sequel to last year's high-grossing "From Vegas to Macau", wins big as it takes first place on its opening weekend. "Kingsman: The Secret Service" makes a steady climb and takes over the second spot. Another new release, Jackie Chan's "Dragon Blade", opens at number three. Over in Singapore, Jack Neo's newly released "Ah Boys to Men 3: Frogmen" makes a leap straight to the top spot. "Dragon Blade" makes another impressive debut as it manages to land at number two on its opening weekend. "Kingsman: The Secret Service" has its hold on third place. New movies that opened in Malaysia last weekend are "Lucky Star 2015", "My Papa Rich", "An Inspector Calls", "Coverina" and "Sandamarutham".
